easier than I thought it would be, make sure you have Espio level 3 before getting to the flying flowers, his homing attack can lift the flowers without the tornado jump

You can also use the rocket accel for the flowers, just need to make sure you don't launch yourself off the stage.

1: After you make your first descent down a giant tree trunk, you'll come to another tree trunk, circle around to the back of it and break some boxes to reveal a 1-up.

2: Just after the first checkpoint there'll be a 1-up sitting in front of a frog. Destroy the robots then use charmy to shoot the 1-up.

3: After the second checkpoint take the path on the right and grow the flower with Charmy, get up top there and look behind you for breakable boxes and a 1-up behind them.

4+5: Then when you get to the flower jump off early onto the vine to the 1-up sitting at the top and grind down to another one on the same vine.
