You can miss one coin in the water, if you get the coin-block at the beginning of the level.

Protip (maybe spoiler?): There is a frog-suit in World 2, if you hammer the top-right rock. There is also a warp whistle there.

My advice: Do not stock up on extra lives. Get the whistle on 1-3 and go to World two. Complete all levels until you find the hammer. Use the hammer to go to the secret mushroom hut containing the frog suit. Lose lives, use continues, and stock up!

This might take a few tries, so load up on suits. Use the next whistle obtained to go to World Seven...and good luck :-)

If you happen to find yourself without any more frog suits, one can be obtained in the mushroom house of the world 7 (the one in the same island as the 7-3 level). If you get a game over, all the stages and the house will respawn.

I grinded for frog-suits as suggested. Had two whole pages worth. Then when I went to 7-2 I literally got it on my first try. Talk about a waste of time on my part. lol
