So, a couple things:

First, Hanch is the one who gets himself stung, not Fado. Second, this is a missable achievement as the beehive does not respawn if you knock it down (unless I'm... somehow mistaken?).

At first Hanch stands under the beehive just looking at it. You have to leave the beehive up until after you rescue Talo and the monkey. After that, Hanch will start throwing rocks at it. Talk to him and step away from him. A cutscene will play where he throws a rock at the beehive resulting in him getting stung.

thanks for that. I was thinking there is something late game. I tried to knock down the hive using the eagle thinking the bees would follow him. And I also tried to knock it down with the slingshot and take the bees to it to see if it did any damage.

I didn't have to wait till after rescuing Talo. I spoke to Hanch when I first entered the area then went straight into the shop behind him and spoke to Sera until she told me to leave her be. When I went back outside he was already throwing rocks at the nest and talking to him triggered the cutscene.

I also just did this right away, talked to him, got the bottle, and then talked to him again and walked away. I'd assume it's just reloading the area at all.
