For some reason, this dungeon boss was too difficult for me, and it took me many attempts to defeat it without damage.

Whether it was because of the tentacle that grabbed me, or because of the bomb fish, I couldn't reach the second phase without taking damage. Anyway, here is a video of how I managed to get it, in case someone is also having complications (like me) with Morpheel.

Just be careful not to overcommit. You can pull out the eye immediately for the first hit, but for the second and third, never go for it unless you've just slashed a tentacle. The tentacles will generally wait until you're L-targeting something to come after you, so L-target the eye or a bombfish with your sword out, then back out and slash the tentacle when it comes for you.

You can pull a couple bomb fish to reduce their numbers, but I don't think you can get rid of them completely without more spawning. They also tend to swarm you once you've pulled the eye out, so get your hit in and then put your shield up. This one's tedious but shouldn't be too hard.

If you're playing with three hearts, just let the boss kill you if you eat a hit, it's way faster than resetting the game.

Just got this one. This was surprisingly easy for me. I skipped the cutscene, immediately L-targetted the eye and yanked it out. I was able to smack it enough to activate the second phase, no tentacles or bomb fish or nothing.

As soon as you smack the eye shield up and keep jumping back as fast as you can. The bomb fish will bounce off your shield and then swim away.
The second part.... just get above his head and grab the eye. Then attack away. Swim as fast as possible to get back to that position and do it again. And again.

Easy first phase if you're bad trigger the second phase on first try: Clawshoot eye, hit it 1 time with B button, clawshoot eye the second time, hit it once again, lock immediately the attacking fishes and use shield against them, after few fish blocks they return on their old positions (if you have enough distance not sure about this), repeat clawshoot + sword hit third time and if needed use a shield againts the incoming fishes if needed and gz, if you did everything right you just got on the second phase without taking any hits.
