Gimade's strategy is sound, I didn't bother with the video Timenoe posted because it makes it look way harder than it needs to be. So I'll suggest replacing that video with Gimade's.

Okay I've tried like 50 times I give up. This should not be on a primary set for a flagship title. This wouldn't fly as an xbox achievement, not a playstation trophy, not even a steam achievment. This is ridiculously unneccessary and I'll be quitting this site until its removed.

There are some very helpful comments, especially Girnade, made me first try it. RA always have challenge/fun achievements like those and they are very welcome in a set imo

I'm glad I don't really care about getting 100%, otherwise I would be really upset at some of the stuff on this site trying to make you hate games you usually enjoy . Like what does this have to do with "mastering" a game?

I think the main issue with that cheevos is that it's a challenge on the first world, making people try it on their first playthrough (or first playtrough after like 10 years).

What I would do is go back to it after you've got most of the shines and other achievements, being more comfortable with movements and camera, and if you use one of the videos provided here it shouldn't take too long

I can also confirm using Girnade's method. Line up directly over the black window cutout and make a simple jump dive straight downward. Got it first try this way.

on paper this achievement seems fine but practically this one is horrible, it would be fine if there was some sought of shortcut to the top of the lighthouse and a way to reset the cheevo without exiting the level but nope, you have to make this unbelievably precise leap of faith and hope for the best and if you fail, its all the way back to delfino plaza and the long walk of shame back up the lighthouse, using Girnade's strat seems to be the best but i've still been chipping away at this for around an hour and a half with no luck
