the y-cam tricks always mess up my movement so i did this achievement just like the video. it seems frustrating and impossible to learn but i put about 3 hours total into it and while there is a learning curve, it is definitely learnable. at first i couldn't even make it to the 1-up, and then once i made it to the 1-up i couldn't consistently grab it. the best thing to do is hold your jumps to time it with the platforms and after consistently being able to grab the 1-up, just hold back the analog stick on every jump to get a better landing/cycle. this was incredibly rewarding and a very unique mastery.

This was much more fun than Horticulture Hero or Pianta-Line since in here you can just experiment and get more attempts quickly when you have tons of lives and don't have to watch 45 seconds of cutscenes every time.

Took me an hour and a half to get but it was a fun challenge nonetheless. I tried using the spin jump y-cam tricks but it didn't work out, I got it by simply angling it right to turn towards the shine and get it. This was by far the hardest achievement to get and I think the toughest in the set.

I definitely recommend you do this one with the spin jumps. When I got my first couple of spin jumps perfectly, the achievement didn't take long to pop for me.

I have to say, this one was funny. I never got angry, i just got tired... after over an hour, i stuck on some Ludwig and just listened to him yapping on about League.. It was at this point i just kept trying without thinking i'll ever do it... And i did it.. And with the spin trick... Very satisfying to complete and i can now proudly put on my CV that i've mastered not only the spin jump, not only the turbo nozzle... But both at the same time. What a game man, what a game...
Don't lose patience guys, just lose hope, and it'll come.

As infuriating as this is -- I burned through about 50 lives before I could reliably pick up the first 1-up -- it was fun to get better with the turbo nozzle and pretty rewarding to finally get this achievement. I just did exactly what the embedded video shows as closely as possible. Spin jumping and Y-looking is some twitchy nonsense. I don't know how anyone got it to work that way.

Weird tip that ended up helping me... I remapped my Joystick to my d-pad so I had digital controls. Helped me not accidentally speed up or slow down when trying to move left and right. I ended up doing a very similar strategy to what @HeyoDabido post above without even seeing that
