Yeah this achievement needs to be lowered by 5 coins. The issue is that unless you are frame perfect, there is just enough coins for you to get.

Why were the requirements increased? In the video that TinyDinos shared they unlock it with 145. Seems alot more reasonable..

yah defiantly should be lowered to 150, even with the bizhakw autofiring i still only just got it 155 on the last coin in world 4-3. theirs only 27 coins in world 4-3 so if you aren't leaving 4-2 with 128 coins its a reset on the blocks.

This... This is legalized torture. If you don't abuse turbo like a baby you need absolute perfection. Not even a slight amount of room for mistake. Jumped a frame too early? Whoops! Gotta redo the entire stupid thing again. Jumped just a little too slow? Too bad! Reset reset reset!

I bet the achievement makers are pleasured from their little multiples of 5. 150? Too easy! 155? Pure and utter perfection! Anywhere in between? Wouldn't be round enough! Not a multiple of 5!

This is so much harder than everything else it's uncanny. World 8 isn't as hard, it's just annoyingly tedious considering you have to start as Fire Mario every time and wait for Koopas. This however has 4 coin blocks where you have to jump nearly perfectly, and tons before it to waste your time.

This is bad. This is real bad.

Unless you're God himself, this is essentially a clock that is also a gambling machine at the same time. The jumps you have to do are so precise that they're mostly inconsistent unless you're a very high tier player.

So basically, just pray.

I'm going to be praying.

NVM DUDES THE PRAYERS WORKED I JUST DID IT 2 TIMES IN A ROW AND THE SECOND WITH 156 COINS SOMEHOW LOL.

It's very much possible without turbo, and I have proven it to myself.

I am grateful for this blessing.

Big tough achievement is now out of the way. The relief is indescribable.

why couldn't this be at least 150? it feels like with 155 you have to get EXTREMELY LUCKY. i have gotten 150 but i am really struggling to break 155, if this persists i don't think i will be able to even master this game

never mind... i used bizhawk since the turbo a there is faster than the turbo a on retroarch, i was able to get this achievement on my very first try in bizhawk, so here is a tip to anyone who wants to try this achievement or is struggling on retroarch:

USE BIZHAWK!

This achievement is extremely precise without turbo. Not sure why it was made this precise.

Finally managed to get this achievement without turbo. I got really lucky with my timing and managed to get 15 coins from one multi-coin block in 4-2, which made the rest of the challenge a bit more lenient. Still, this achievement is extremely precise and should have been lowered to 154 in my opinion.

it's weird, 155 is VERY precise and you have to get lucky and get all 15 on the coin blocks, why couldn't they make this 150? 150 is much easier to do, since the world 3 achievement is 125 coins, this could be 150 coins, 25 + 25 = 50, 150 in world 4 would make more sense as a followup to 125 in world 3 than 155 in world 4

So... there are 4 coin blocks. They need to be 14 - 10 - 14 - 14 to make a total of 155.

I managed to get 154 coins in one try :(

No turbo needed. Hardest part is learning the rhythm. I started to hit 14 or 15 coins consistently when I decided to look at the block, instead of looking at Mario's feet. I press "A" as soon as the block start to go down in the animation after the first jump. A few minutes before finally winning, I did a run where I hit a 15, 9, 14, 15, so I finished 4-2 with an extra coin (129), but I died at 4-3. Now I did a 14, 9, 14, 15. That first block could be a 15 if I didn't jumped too early in one jump. I'm bad at the higher block timing (10-11 coins) and I get only 9 coins most of the time, that also means you don't need to play perfect, as long you can do the 15 coins sometimes to make up for the mistake.
