After whiffing spin jumps for an hour, I found an alternate method. If you bring a Melon or Banana over to the fish after hatching Yoshi, you can eat it after spraying the first fish; the platforms don't change their trajectory if you eat a different fruit after creating it. From the second fish onward, you can just spray at the fish below you to reach the cage.

Barely got this one. Jumped to the cage but wasn't going to make it, jumped of Yoshi and almost made it. Thinking I had to reset the level again for landing on the platform, I happened to notice the achievement tracker was still there. I unpaused, looked back up to Mario and he was holding on to the very bottom of the cage. Climbed up and got it after all. Glad this one is done.

Am I the only one thinking that the wording is wrong on this cheevo ? I tought I couldn't step on grass or metal platform while im using either yoshi or the rocket nozzle but seem like you can't use the rocket nozzle at all

Vouch for going onto the tree to grab the coconut, the pink platforms are so much better

Using the coconut tree, you only need two more spinjumps (maybe even one) to reach the shine.

In the description, "using the Rocket Nozzle" should come before the other condition to avoid ambiguity, as it cannot be used in the episode at all.

Took me a few hours lol. Thank you to MagnoliaMoof for a SIGNIFICANTLY better strategy. This wouldnt be half bad if you didnt have to win the lottery for each retry

What make it easier for me doing the normal strategy was to jump off yoshi so if I miss the cage, it's way easier for the last spin jump

yeah. spraying the fish at the highest point of its jump and then spin jumping to the coconut tree from the first moving platform when it starts blinking is the way to go. but honestly, even with the coconut strat, this cheevo seems too difficult for the core set. even more so if there was a (and no eating any other fruit after getting yoshi) part to the description. then it definitely shouldn't be in core. thankfully coconut is allowed.

Can confirm, way easier changing Yoshi to pink with coconuts/bananas. The upward moving platforms make getting this cheevo so much easier. Thanks for the strat!

Here was my strategy, which took only 3 platforms:

1) Get Yoshi his durian and dismount near the first two fish.

2) Run back to the fruit spawner and grab either a cocount or banana.

3) Place the fruit near Yoshi, but DO NOT eat the banana or coconut yet!

4) Spray the first fish as durian yoshi, then eat the coconut/banana and hop on the platform. The first platform will remain horizontally travelling, but the rest will be vertical.

5) Spray the next fish and spin jump to it.

6) Hit any of the next three fish and jump to that. Height hardly matters for them.

7) you'll have more than enough travel time to spray the cage and jump to it during the ascent.

8) Dismount, ground pound, drop onto the shine, and pop off now that you're finally done with this challenge!

This achievement is *EVIL*...

If you don't know how to consistently spinjump in the direction you want to.

After spending ages trying to do this achievement spinning the analog stick in both a full circle *and* a partial circle starting from the bottom, I somehow figured out that it seemed to be *MUCH* more consistent to spin jump directly forward if you:

- Push the analog stick up
- Swing it around in a counter-clockwise circle to down
- From down, straight 180° line back to up
- Jump

If you're too early with the jump, you'll end up going somewhere to the right, but it's not hard to avoid that; just wait for a brief moment and you'll go forward instead. Practice before riding the juice platforms.

Once you have that down, simply combine it with the strategy GalaxiusYT and others have mentioned of spraying the first fish, then eating a banana or coconut before boarding the platform. Spray and spinjump to the second fish, wait until you have decent height, spray and spinjump the next fish (ideally the one closest to fish 2), spray the cage until the goop is gone, then you can just dismount Yoshi on the juice platform and jump/hover to the cage.

Got it *almost immediately* once I finally got spinjumps consistent.

Wow that was a nightmare, definitely go for the Durian > Spray Platform > Bannana/Coconut > Platform to Tree > Spray New Fish > Jump to Platform > Spray Cage > Jump Up route, but even with that it's still a very hard one, mostly because of the awful spin jump controls.
