The most perplexing and the most lazy dungeon in the game. Perplexing because the boss is in a random room while mere Goriya's guard the Triforce piece. Lazy because of how short the dungeon is and the forced inclusion of a hungry Goriya. It's even shorter and easier than level 1 from the first quest. I have no idea what they were thinking with this and they forced themselves to make a dungeon shaped like an L. The length could've easily been fixed if they just made a larger L.

It was designed in 1985. Compared to the games that came before, Zelda blew every adventure game out of the water, including everything on early computers. Even the best of them looked and played like dog shit. The dungeon is odd, yes, but you are looking at it with the knowledge of the 4 subsequent decades of game design. It was all a new frontier in 1985. It wasn't a big deal and probably no one complained. I didn't care as a kid and I'm sure none did.
