Ok i just got it so the best strategy IF you are lucky he spawn just right of you when you enter: use IMMEDIATELY the flute and just after that stb it very quickly two time with the magical sword ! he will die . Normally with the upgrade shield you have big luch to win in a few seconds !

Other wise will be a pain to avoid and watch out him. look like he follows ou quickly

Better strategy: Get closer, drop a bomb near it (make sure it's moving towards the bomb), then immediately switch to the recorder and play it. If you do this correctly, the bomb will hit just after it becomes vulnerable, it shouldn't be too hard to finish it off from there (another bomb may do the trick if you're quick enough).

I killed him quickly with magic sword beam without taking any damage. but i got hit by a ranged bullet just _after_ killing digdugger, and the achievement didn't pop. :-(

Since the name Lizard is not mentioned in-game, it may be worth including the dungeon number in the achievement description. Lizard dungeon is dungeon 5. Digdogger is the boss of dungeon 5
