    Finished with Sonic & Tails from a completed save. Shields are ok to use.

    I got it with tails with all emeralds (keeping less than 50 rings to avoid super transformation)

    Yes, you have to do both acts on the same life.

    I did it with Tails. Took me a few tries to finally pull this off.

    This is why I love this site…I was like, how hard could it be to just keep at least 1 coin & stay alive…much more difficult than I’d ever imagined! I don’t think I ever faced the act 1 boss without Hyper Sonic before. Really forces you to think & play differently. Took more than 10 tries but finally got it, and set a site record for best time in the process. I’m sure it’s far from world record but it’s cool to actually be #1 in anything pertaining to a game as mainstream as this.

    it wasn't THAT hard tbh. The biggest mistake I kept making was trying to be quick with the bosses, etc.

    Got it in the first try, but it wasn't easy at all. Here are some tips: the far left and far right of the screen are blindspots for the first boss (when it starts using the laser); you'd better to not have the 7 emeralds so that you won't make the mistake of transforming; Tails' flight is great to avoid most of the traps and enemies.     And try to avoid it whenever it starts using the laser so you won't take damage! That is the part where I kept rushing and rushing..

    Act 2's boss on the other hand is easy. Just choose the correct paths, etc.
