My advice - Lose whatever your holding and grab the holy water in the first candle. Stay on the left hand side of the first screen and let the fleamen come to you, then jump over them. They will despawn. Grab the holy water, continue through the stage. Once you get to the first screen with the 2 axe knights on the stairs, kill them and grab the AXE. The Cross and holy water are good weapons but the axe is a great way to get rid of both everything in the hallway and Death's Scythes (as well as him). You can stun him and hit him in mid air so you can easily juggle him if you have Axe +3. Good luck!

Keep your holy water from previous stage or get it in a candle before the first set of stairs. Kill everything using holy water and proceed to fight Death with holy water. My advice? Holy water, holy water and holy water!

The only advice I can add is you can use your whip and hit the bones the jumping skeletons throw and you can also whip the re-animating red skeletons that will save you hearts and since the mechanics of the holy water are kinda clunky it's a life saver. Make sure to collect both pork chops (Stage 13 & 15). The only section I had real problems with were the two bone towers at the start of 13. On the first one I just jumped the first two projectiles then stun locked it with one holy water and took off running using my whip on the red skeleton. The 2nd one right at the top of the stairs I couldn't manage to hit from below so I just waited until it shot the 2nd shot and took the damage and invincibility framed my way out. Thankfully the 2nd pork chop was waiting to recover some health. Surprisingly the famous "hall of death" with the medusa heads and axe knights was super easy I just jumped and tossed holy water on the knights and as it was stun locked kept running.
