The achievement has been reworked as per a revision vote. Now you just need to obtain the Kikuichimonji.

I used this tactic, but so far it doesn't drop the sword and mace

A had this achievement first not unlocking, but the following worked for me:

The weapon dropped with my inventory being full. I thre something away but the achievement didn't unlock. I then equipped it und left the room and returned, then it registered
