Note that this won't fire if you already have four E-tanks due to how it detects collecting the E-tank.

It only works if you have 3 or less e tanks not 4.

Huh, didn't trigger for me. Got the E-Tank, used Item 1 to get across the gap, and again to jump up to the small ledge above. Nothing happened. I only had two E-Tanks before grabbing this one, so I don't know why the achievement didn't fire.

Like many of you, I couldn't get the achievement either. I just realized it was a Rom's problem. I recommend using one that has CRC-32 Checksum 5E268761.

As stated by PanchoChancho you need the rom with the right CRC32 Checksum: 5E268761Iused the one by nointro and it worked perfectly.

This one gave me hell. It wouldn't pop, but I thought the "next step up" was the ledge above where the E tank is. You just have to get the E tank then cross the gap and continue up the next step on the other side of the gap.

I didn't grab the fist tank, grabbed the second, then rode item 2 over the gap and didn't touch the floor until the second step up was there and jumped off. This works right.

tried earlier grabbing the first tank and crossing the gap with item-1 and it didnt work.
