    You will need a total of 7 Coconuts to take him down.

    The fight will trigger when you go back from Lavalava island to toad town.
    You can get this as early as when Sushie joins your party. Just talk to the whale to go back and the battle will begin after you're back in Toad Town.

    Your allowed to use the Double Dip Badge as well so you can use 2 Coconuts per a turn.

    It's a SpongeBob reference.

    You probably won't need to at this point in the game, but you can use Bow to avoid some of his damage. Seems anything that doesn't target Jr. Troopa is fine.

    if i had to guess it first checks if any dsmage has been dealt and THEN checks the source of damage so as long as your partner uses a non damage dealung move its all good
