Yea sorry I meant I have hit him a few times so did I mess up the partner letters? Or do I have to unlock the achievement for this to void out the letters?

Whacka sends a letter to Parakarry that you need for another achievement after hitting him a few times. You need to read it after hitting 3 times but before hitting him for the 8th time which makes him disappear.
