How? In the 3rd Palace you need the Downtrust to get to the Boss. In the Room with Red and Blue Knights.

Nevermind. I got the Boat and I travelled to Reflect Town to get the Uptrust. In Palace 4 I got 1 Ley and then I Backtracked to Palace 3.

You can get through Palace 3 without downthrust because Link can actually break blocks above his head without upthrust. In that spot near the Rebonack with the different paths, take the bottom one and keep jumping and attacking under the breakable blocks, if you time it correctly (just keep trying it's pretty forgiving) Link will break the blocks above his head near the Blue Iron Knuckle. Or as you said, you could take the Raft, leave and go get Up Thrust.

For newer players who haven't done this set before, I recommend NOT doing this with the Rebonack in the 3rd palace. There is a key and bag that are under blocks that you cannot reach without the down thrust, and you cannot go back to Palaces once you have completed them.

if choosing to do this in the 3rd palace:

- Avoid opening the first locked door (leads to the raft) so that you can use your first key to head towards the boss.

- You cannot get the key and P-bag (both part of achievements) that are inside breakable blocks until you get down-thrust. You have to revisit the palace with down-thrust BUT if you got the raft and beat Reboneck together you cannot revisit the palace.

- Use suspect15's advice in an earlier comment about breaking blocks above your head without up-thrust

I wanted to add something to what's been discussed. If you use the Rebonack in the 3rd palace the first time you get there, even if you grab the raft first, you can use the Fairy spell to clip through the first locked door that leads to a key room to the left and a down elevator that leads to the boss going right. After you beat Rebonack to get this achievement, you can use the Fairy spell to fly above the Gem at the end of the palace so that you can leave without destroying the palace so that you can come back after learning down thrust so you can get the remaining treasures.

As far as I can tell, the only way to damage him is from the front with a strike while you start a jump. I haven't been able to get him from the back, and I don't have the Fire spell so I don't know if that helps.

A couple of pointers here... You cannot even get to the fight with Rebonack without either up thrust or down thrust so if you want to use that boss for this achievement you will need to get to Darunia first. Of note this requires you to fight a blue iron knuckle which you could normally skip if you had the downward thrust but then you wouldn't be here reading this and the prospect of a bik shouldn't intimidate you. I basically went into the palace on the sea used the infinite moa trick to get level 8 across the board saved my game then made an immediate beeline for rebonack to get this out of the way and when it popped I reset my game and went and learned downward thrust because it's definitely the most OP move in the game.

I almost never figured out how to hit him on the horse. what I did was cast jump and then get as close to him on either side and hit him aimlessly, eventually worked.

Hitting the blocks from above with just jumping and slashing as mentioned above works but only only if you also cast the jump spell to be clear hear.

If you face rebonack without the down slash you should try to jump at him and hit him in the face / not the horse. Than it kinda works. Careful though he can destroy you if you screw up to often...
