I have to disagree that this achievement is worthy of being worth five points after doing so many repeated attempts at this. I genuinely don't know if it's just something I'm doing wrong at this rate, but there's a lot that can really ruin your run on beat this already incredibly tight time trial, ranging from the Piranha Plants to the bumps to even the mud pool you need to drive over that makes you slip a lot and can throw you in the path of another obstacle because of that. I know it'd be unfair to the people that prolly worked just as hard to get this achievement, but I strongly believe this achievement should at least be worth more points than what's being offered or provide little bit more wiggle room for you to actually beat the time to justify the point value. And if neither of those are an option that can be done, then maybe there should at least be a video guide showing off what needs to be done with the provided conditions for people that are struggling with this.

Where do you guys use the mushrooms on this track? Feels like there aren't any shortcuts that would shave off a significant amount of time.

Using a shroom right at the start of each lap seems to be the way to go, instead of taking the bend you go right through the opening between the fencing.

This is definitely the hardest of these TT's but most of the others should be achievable within a few attempts, this one took me half an hour or so. Shroom through the cut at the beginning and then try to fit a mini turbo in on the first turn, from that point try to be fast and accurate without trying to fit in boosts, avoiding the ramps. A boost is possible on the last turn if you take it tightly which should save you more time.

For anyone else that struggled on this like I and others have, I found a fairly simple route and recorded it so no one will have to suffer again!

Unfortunately my fastest run wasn't recorded and I messed up lap 3 this time but it's still plenty fast to get the achievement, happy racing everyone!

theres a few people overcomplicating how to get under the 1:06.549 time. this is definitely the hardest tt in the game because of the variety of factors which can effect a run such as: traction, piranha plants, mud, and bumps.

heres is what i believe to be the simplest route to get a sub 1:06.549. if done correctly, laps will average about 21.*** seconds.

shroom through the wall cut at the start and mt (mini turbo) into the first corner.
drift into the corner at the end of the zigzag but dont mt
charge a mini turbo while in the mud and release it just after the patch of sand
accurately manoeuvre around the bumps without hitting any (if you hit one, reset)
go wide on the last corner and charge an mt and release before the line

Shroom the start and when you get past the mud drift real tight on the right piranha and boost in a line that's more on the left so you avoid the bumps and can secure a easy line to drift boost so you can shave a second off. Other than Donut Plains (with Dry Bones & Banisher) this has easily been the hardest one, though that's just due to this track being horrible tbh)
