I was having trouble with this achievement. The secret is to follow the rhythm of the music and press the buttons firmly (keep pressed for a few milliseconds) trying to reach the middle of the circle or a little earlier. When the word "Perfect" appears, the points are worth twice as much, this is where you can quickly increase your score.

Best I've got is a 7,1xx really struggling to keep hold of the perfect status. Only thing that's helped me is to sit close to the screen to ignore all the distractions of the dancing and lights etc.. Just need to grind it out

What eventually helped me is keeping my eyes fixed on the circle and focusing on the top of the circle while tapping the buttons quickly right when they are aligned with the top of the circle.

This solution might help to reduce input delay as it did for me: switch OFF Vsync in Settings ➜ Graphics then set "Maximum Frame Latency" to 1 frames instead of 2 under Settings ➜ Emulation > Frame Pacing / Latency Control.

Between the input lag and the unclear UI, I'm having a hard time getting that timing down. Would it have been too much to as to just label every input as bad/good/perfect instead of whatever they got going on? And why do my button presses sometimes flash? I assumed it was the sign of a perfect hit, but doesn't look like it.

What's wrong with this stupid timing in this game? I push button at the same time and sometimes I have a perfect mark, sometimes - bad. This is the most unhonest achievement in the whole game

Eu uso o PCSX2 pra emular, e nele tem um input lag no controle que deixa essa conquista ainda mais difícil do que ela é. Porém depois de mexer em algumas configurações no emulador e mais algumas 30 tentativas consegui. O negócio é focar no círculo, e tentar o máximo manter o timing pra ficar no Perfect.

Sobre o PCSX2 pra reduzir o input lag eu fui na aba Emulação, ativei a opções Ritmo Otimizado dos Frames, Ativar VU1 Multi-Threaded (MTVU), Ativar Fixação do Thread, Ativar o pré-cache do CD/DVD (pra isso precisa ter uns 8GB de RAM, se não vai travar tudo), e na opção Taxa de Ciclos da EE, selecionei 300% (Overclock).

Se tiver com o VSync ativado, desative.

No demais, a conquista é realmente difícil, essa música tem umas quebradas de ritmo complicadas.

finally... sadly the only solution i found to play "better" was to mute the game entirely
