    Unlike the NES version, you keep your items after beating the game, so you can skip more levels (all world 1 and some world 8, if you have Jugem's cloud) by using 2 flutes immediately.

    Plus you can beat all things on World 8 so you get this one and 'Dominated Castle of Koopa' =P

    Hey guys. Can't manage to get this one. I start a new game. Get the whistle on 1-4 then the first fortress. Go directly to world 8 and beat the world normally. What do I do wrong ?

    What counts as the "shortest route" for this achievement? Just using both whistles on World 1?

    @jeffsilvers yes, I got the whistle in 1-4 and the first fortess then used both to go to world 8 and finish that one. I just got it that way.

    The way it unlocked to me, is to get both flutes in world one, then use one flute, and while in the warp select screen, use the second flute to go to W8 immediately. Then just finish as usual.

    I load a complete game, with already 2 flutes, choose W1, use flute twice, and complete W8 and beat bowser! GG
