    This achievement popped for me even though I took damage during the fight.

    I got lucky and matched 3 7's and got ten lives to tinker with my approach to this one.

    Okay, so you DON'T actually have to use the platform. As Luigi, from the bottom where he can't hit you, you have a brief window to grab a mushroom, hide out of sight again, and then wait for another opening to jump and toss the shroom at him from below.

    Still tricky with lots of room to mess up and get hit, but easier than actually being good at the game.
