Here's my setup if it can be useful to anyone, but by all means try to modify it to fit your driving style, even a little change may make a big difference:
Brake Balance 2 - 1 (9 - 4 is also good, but less reliable imo)
Spring 12.0 - 9.0 (maybe even softer would be better?)
Ride Height 105 - 90
Bound 6 - 5
Rebound 5 - 3
Toe -2 / +3 (change this before anything else if you find it uncomfortable, it gives the car understeering)
Stabilizers 1 - 3
Transmission (gear trick with Auto 1): 2.544, 1.984, 1.522, 1.199, 0.916, Final 2.500 (5th gear may be optimized)
Downforce: 25 - 35
LSD: 20 - 50 - 5
I installed the body rigidity upgrade, but I didn't bother trying without it.
sartarobanco2 Oct 2023 20:46It was a lot harder to control the throttle and everything and required many hours, but it's still very satisfying.
As a note, I felt that without the body rigidity upgrade it spins way less often, and I raised the LSD to 20 - 52 - 5, the rest of the setup remains the same.
Figuring out the setup that fits your style better is 70% of the fun in this.
sartarobanco15 Feb 2024 14:24I've played Gran Turismo PSP's achievement set, and I'll give that set creator credit... at least they accepted the faults in some of their achievements and have actually made them more accessible to everyone, or fixed them due to being not possible. This feels like one of those achievements that should've been part of a "Subset" called "Time Trial Master", where you take on difficult Time Trial combinations as part of an OPTIONAL set.
But I'm just one person out of 4000+ players who have attempted this set, and one of 35 (as of this comment) who have completed it. My opinion likely doesn't matter, but I feel many players would likely agree in saying that this achievement needs reworking or scrapping.
Acredito que esse รฉ aquele tipo de conquista que a galera coloca sรณ para afastar os jogadores e impedir que pessoas platinem o game, para assim ficar naquela condiรงรฃo onde sรณ os jogadores extremamente viciados no game consigam. Tornando assim platinar esse jogo como algo exclusivo, que somente poucas pessoa conseguem fazer.
Se algum dia ajustarem essa conquista, quem sabe colocando um tempo um pouco maior eu volte aqui, mas nesse estado atual nรฃo acho que vale a pena gastar tantas horas e ficar passando tanta raiva nisso aqui.
At some point I just gave up and used ASM oversteer to make sure the car behaved, my overall setup was this (NTSC-U):
Spring Rate - 7.2 / 6.0
Ride Height - 85 / 100
Shock / Dampers (Bound) - 2 / 2
Shock / Dampers (Rebound) - 5 / 5
Toe Angle - 0 / 0
Stabilisers - 6 / 7
Brake Balance - 3 / 1
Downforce - 25 / 35
LSD Initial Torque - 55
LSD Acceleration - 35
LSD Deceleration - 60
ASM Oversteer - 15 (but can turn it down if it's too aggressive)
ASM Understeer - 0 (do NOT have this set above 0 if using ASM Oversteer, it'll make the problems worse)
TCS - 1
No Increase Rigidity upgrade (it does not work as intended, the car imo feels looser with it bought).
It becomes rather understeery but honestly preferable to it spinning out when you touch the steering at the wrong moments.
Driving aids:
ASM Oversteer - 1 (you can try with 0 if you are confident)
ASM Understeer - 0
TCS - 1.
Good luck!
Put final to 5.000, then auto to 3, then set final in 2.950.
after this set the gears :
1- 2.385
2-1.745
3-1.270
4-1.015
5-0.838
This can make the car more agile when cornering, without skidding as much and reducing the chances of a spin.
Another small tip is to pay attention when the red speedometer light flashes when the engine is at low rotation. This indicates the unevenness of the road, a few light touches on the brake while accelerating can reduce the chances of losing control. The same before entering and exiting uneven curves. If you've raced Formula GT in A-Spec at Nurburgring you'll probably understand.
