@TheGreatMax6713 Isn't running for almost 10 minutes with a rifle exhausting enough for the difficulty? I agree that it was possible to leave the “hard” restriction, but introducing a restriction on the control type is too redundant.

I noticed that at least on Hard mode (haven't tested on other difficulties) when the Pyramid Heads are not in view they move faster, leading to a bunch of bullshit surprises when running away from them and then stopping to shoot when you think you created enough distance. A tip for this is to switch to tank (3D) controls if you are not already using them (btw TheGreatMax6713, in this fight tank controls are not even harder, they are ideal) and then keep strafing around the room while always looking at the Pyramid Heads by holding the switch view button (you can change that to a toggle in the options menu to avoid having to hold the button all the time, just press R1 in that menu and more options will show). When you see that they are far enough stop and shoot with the rifle until they get close, then go back to strafing. On tank controls I think the default buttons for strafing are R1/L1, and this is an action that isn't even available on the other control type, so if you wonder why you could never strafe before with those buttons that's why. By the way, holding the run button (you can also invert it in the options screen if you want, so that James runs by default) also makes you faster while strafing or going backwards, it isn't exclusive to moving forward, and you should be running all the time while strafing in this fight. Also, by using the left or right arrow keys (you can also use the analog, but if you accidentally push it in a diagonal it will mess up the trajectory of your strafing) you also get to basically "drift" while strafing, which is essential to circle the room.

So, in order, what you wanna do is this:

1 - Make sure you are using tank controls (3D). Also, configure the switch view button to be a toggle and the run button to be inverted if you want.

2 - At the start of the fight run backwards a little bit with the down arrow while running.

3- When you are a little close to the wall start the strafing. Take some laps around the room to get used to it, remembering to also run all the time, to use the horizontal arrows to drift when close to a corner and to use the switch view button so that James looks forward all the time, keeping the Pyramid Heads in view.

4 - When you notice there's a good distance between you and the Pyramid Heads stop, aim and shoot (preferably with the Rifle). Keep in mind that since they are slower now because they are in your view you can also get 2 to 3 shots in (the third shot in quick succession from the rifle staggers them by the way) and when they are in a straight line you can even hit both at once with each Rifle shell.

5 - When they get close enough go back to step 3.

6 - Stop shooting when they both start going to the middle of the room as that's the sign that you won already. Save the rest of your ammo for the final boss now.
