To be clear, you need to avoid getting hit by balls and the jumping attack he does at the end a total of 3 times in the same fight. This means you'll dodge a total of 9 individual throws (2 balls per throw) and 3 jumping attacks.

This was quite difficult to get legitimately. Mad Clown's juggle attack will first trigger at the ~45 sec mark. The good news? There is none. There are no tells that telegraph where you should dodge, and there is no pattern - it's all RNG. Basically, you will be grinding Mad Clown (quite possibly for hours), just to get to the first juggle at the 45 sec mark, then pray that you either get lucky with the pattern, or your reflexes are ... "good". On a random YT video I found (FMjUrFM1j1Y), at the 2:47 mark, you can see that there are 31 frames between a) release of first volley, and b) player is hit. In other words, you will have less than 1 second in real-time to recognize the pattern and dodge. Now, dodging the juggle attack is not necessarily "difficult" - most SPO players have done this. But you'd be surprised how easy it is to mess up in the space of less than a second. Weather 9 volleys to get this achievement. No pressure. You will be rewarded with 10 whole points.

I’m very surprised by your comments. To me this is one of the easier achievements in the revision. All you have to is look right where the balls appear and dodge left or right as necessary. Are other people finding this excessively difficult?

despite being (relatively) easy, the retro ratio on this achievement is 3x that of beating contra without the konami code :P
