The Knights, Novistadors, Minecart, & Elevator segments can easily be handled using the standard issue Handgun & Shotgun. Collect as many Magnum Rounds as possible, & save them all for the Salazar Fight.

So far this run has proven quite more enjoyable than I expected, ignoring the stress that this particular chapter gave me because and only because I'm combining this run with the no continues run. If the island doesn't suddenly prove to be much harder I think I'll even do a No Merchant run on Pro someday. I never imagined that this game would actually be that fun to play without dealing with the merchant. I always thought that the lack of certain weapons and upgrades would destroy this game, but so far not really, probably in part because a lot of stuff can be overcome with proper planning and using the very useful knife. It's truly great how retroachievements can make us have more fun by simply daring us to try things that we ordinarily wouldn't and giving us a prize for accomplishing these things. Such prizes would be considered meaningless by many, but for those of us who bothered to seek them they do undeniably have value.

The verdugo has this little move in where he appears in front of you when you run towards the hallway that goes to the elevator, it's kinda easy to detect when he's going to do that. The thing is that he won't appear if you don't go that hallway, and since killing it is completely unnecesary in this challenge you can just wait doing nothing for the elevator to activate.

Oh god i used rocketlauncher to kill Salazar and now i have to repeat the chapter. I loaded again from the statue and there's no achievement icon :(

Poopycrap, I truly understand you, I just made a fatal mistake myself and now I have to start all over again. I hate these achievements that you can only get in one session. I'll save it for a better time

@Pupicrap @Ivanushka I recommend making a separate save at the start of each of these challenges to avoid having to repeat the whole game at least. Or just don't save at all during the challenge, only at the end of it. Since it's a single session achievement saving in the middle of it is not gonna help anyway, unless you wanna practice a specific part. Other than that just read the rules very carefully here and in the forum. These merchant ones at least allow continues, meaning you should be able to use the retry option when dying and the retry from last checkpoint option in the menu during the chapters, but going back to the main menu and loading is a different thing, try to avoid that. If you are following the rules correctly it shouldn't even be necessary, the retries from menu and after death should already cover all use cases, as I don't think you are meant to return to a previous part after you got a checkpoint.

@carlosMand De acordo com o dev na página do forum para esse jogo as conquistas são protegidas quanto a este tipo de situação, então se vc fizer isso não deve dar certo, e se der é um bug. A ideia é realmente fazer uma run sem mercador na primeira rodada e sem rocket launcher. O que eu geralmente recomendaria é salvar só no final dos capítulos (capítulos totais, não subcapítulos) para evitar ter que refazer a run toda, mas se não tiver nenhum save que ainda atenda aos requisitos o jeito é reiniciar

Pior que não tenho infelizmente, joguei direto só salvando antes do verdugo pra futuramente voltar e matar ele na faca

Infelizmente o jeito é refazer a run então. Pelo lado bom, vc pode tentar dar um rushada dentro do possível já que não é necessário pegar dinheiro e tesouros
