    More specifically, when you get to the ramps let go of the acceleration, hold L1+R1 and press either down, left or right on the d-pad

    For those who can't do tricks. When you reach the ramp or rock whatever, release acceleration (Left stick) and hold L1,R1 and any of the D-pad (down, right, left) don't release until you do the trick.
    The achievement will pop up GOOD LUCK.
