Didn't have any problems with the menu. Red charm potion made it easy to skip entirely the second blue phase. Keep calm and don't rush in, focus on avoiding the light balls and the green enemies. Boss is still hard af though, good luck.

What a rush this fight was! It took me a lot of attempts, and I hated all the traveling from the red teleporter over and over again. However, finally landing that killing blow without getting hit was such a thrill! I echo the comments above about Din’s Fire being helpful for the second and third phase of the blue Gyorg. It really helped to take that thing down quickly so that you can get out of those phases as fast as possible. The blue Gyorg was definitely the thing that caused the most problems…

Phew. Followed Ness64 guide and got it. After many attemts i got this achievement even after getting 1.5 damage and i dont know why and please dont take it away.

Something interesting happened. Every time I tried to defeat the boss, I swore harder and harder. At the same time, I noticed that even though I was taking damage, I could still see the status that I could get the achievement. And so I accidentally realized that after taking damage - you can open the inventory menu, and then the achievement will work again, and finally in this way you can get this achievement even despite taking damage. It's a shame, of course, that after this post I may have this achievement taken away from me, since I didn't get it quite honestly, but I should have reported it.

Don't even feel good after getting this. No dmg achievements that rely in part on dumb luck are the antithesis of fun. If the blue tail decides to swing right before the green guys fly at you, you're 100% screwed. Just a miserable experience.

Anyone thinking of doing this in hardcore, do yourself a favour and don't; this boss doesn't test skill and you will not have fun. The stupidly long walk back is really out-of-place and involves a bunch of enemies who can freeze you in various forms based on RNG; many of the bosses' attacks are also RNG-based, not that it matters since you will still need to memorise three or four of your most common options; the game intersperses RNG attacks with common attacks, which will trip you up and leave you with yet more memorization (hooray!); the blue Gyorg's hurtbox extends into its hitbox, making it very easy to land on it and take damage from nothing; and the phase transitions, especially using fast kill strats, are buggy and can send green Gyorgs flying into you from impossible-to-block angles. This isn't a good time.

Yeah it was this and the Vaati achievement that ultimately made me realize RetroAchievements just isn't for me. I don't think the mentality of the people who originally designed these bosses and the people who design sets here match up at all. I play games to have fun, and at the risk of sounding like I'm just whining I think that achievements here should bear more similarities to official ones (i.e. be more realistic). But I understand this site isn't actually about fun, but more for people wanting the most challenge. The hardcore of the hardcore. And I'm not part of that club, so for my own sanity I've stayed away ever since. I mastered this game, but I don't feel good about it.

These achievements are very difficult for someone who is a causal player like me, this site only puts off most people with these types of achievements. Good luck to you wasting your time on this.

The advice above about using Din and Farore's charms works quite well. Also get all the sword upgrades as you can. It makes a difference.

The real difficulty is the blasted blue Gyorg, so here's some extra advice for everyone: watch his tail! It's all about the tail.

When riding him, his tail will always freeze right before it attacks you. When you've finished the phase, his tail will start vibrating/shaking. This is helpful in knowing when to get ready to jump. Also, jumping onto Blue is easier if you just do a single jump. Jumping off is better with a double jump.

In the semi-final phase on Red, Blue will start flying left and right. When he flies towards the right, he isn't a threat -- mash the sword button and jump if greens come. When he flies towards the left, he will ALWAYS try to rake you with his tail. If you don't jump at that point, he will most likely hit you. It's definitely more of a threat than the greens if you don't know about it.

As someone else said, the final phase is ridiculously easy in comparison. I managed to make it through this phase the first time I got to it. Just avoid greens by jumping or hitting and finish the job.

As for the way to the boss room, all enemies are avoidable with Roc's Cape (except for one Stalfos in front of a door -- hit him with your sword). This will help you save a loooot of time if you just jump through.

This was significantly more difficult than the preceding damageless bosses. I think this deserves to be at least 50 points. How is this worth the same as the Blue Chuchu fight? Lol.

Really fun challenge though!
