Beat this with a Level 61 Espeon, a Level 60 Umbreon, a Level 60 Typhlosion, and a Level 60 Suicune, and two pivoting Pokemon. I led with Espeon and OHKO'd the Pikachu with Psychic to prevent status effects / charm. Red would send out Espeon to counter mine so I switched to Umbreon and took it out with Faint Attack. Red would counter Umbreon with Snorlax which I didn't have a good counter to. My strategy was to use Umbreon to confuse Snorlax and lower its defense with Screech while stalling it via sand attack. With a lot of luck, Snorlax kills itself via confusion. Suicune easily counters Charizard with Surf and can do some damage to Venusaur with Aurora Beam before Typhlosion takes it out with Flamethrower. I used Suicune and Espeon to deal some damage to Blastoise and got lucky enough that Typhlosion was able to kill Blastoise as my last Pokemon. I don't recommend this strategy, it took about 6 tries to succeed due to the luck required on Snorlax. This set taught me how critical items in battle can be, a lot of these challenges would have been way easier with X items / potions.

Cleared with Quagsire lv64, Typhlosion lv64, Tyranitar lv64, Wobbuffet lv58, Lugia lv60, and Misdreavus lv46. Lugia was strictly backup and did not end up being necessary. Misdreavus was supposed to be taking down Snorlax with Perish Song but luckily Wobbuffet was able to get in on Lax and KO it with Destiny Bond, so Mis didn't end up ever coming in.

Lv64 Tyranitar can deal with half the team easily. The rest of the team can be whatever you want for cleanup honestly

This ^ Beat him with a lvl 61 Tyranitar and a team of lvl 55-56s (Espeon, Houndoom, Crobat, Suicune, Heracross)

Cleared with Donphan, Tyranitar, Lanturn (Flash user as well), Skarmory, and Hitmontop all level 64.

Opened Donphan with Earthquake since all he can respond with is Quick Attack on Pikachu.

From there it's about having the right checks for his team:

Skarmory to deal with Venusaur with Fly.

Hitmontop with High Jump Kick and Mach Punch to deal with Snorlax (lots of breeding to get this mon with those moves).

Lanturn for Blastoise with Thunderbolt (Spark is good, but it doesn't do enough).

Tyranitar for Charizard and Espeon. I kept Tyranitar in to deal with Snorlax but it just didn't do enough damage to take it down without putting itself at risk (Red still had Espeon in the back) so thankfully I had Hitmontop in the back.

Hope this helps someone who is struggling with this.

As mentioned by others before, Tyranitar is a lynchpin here, with a set of Rock Slide, Sandstorm, Crunch, and Earthquake. Just make sure to have something else to deal with Blastoise and Venusaur.

The legendary beasts are very useful for many of these level-based challenges challenges, with them only being ineligible against Janine.

Just pulled this off with my ragtag team of misfits featuring lvl54 Jumpluff, lvl53 Lanturn, lvl53 Donphan, lvl53 Delibird, lvl54 Dunsparce, lvl56 Suicune, a bit of good luck and whole lotta moxie.

Level 60 typhlosion (dynamic punch, earthquacke, flamethrower, smoke screen) holding leftovers
level 60 raiku (spark, thunder, leer, flash) holding magnet
level 60 suicune (surf, blizzard, rain dance, aurora beam) holding nevermeletic
level 60 entie (flamthrower, headbutt, fire spin, cut 😅) holding silk scarfe
level 60 lugia (hydropump, shadow ball, rain dance, recover) holding quick claw
level 60 ho-oh ( fire blast, psychic, sunny day, recover) holding charcoal
1- eathquake vs pikachu
2- change to lugia, shdow ball espion
3- change to raiku, thunder blastoise, then leer snorlax untill fainting
4- headbutt snorlax
5- change to suicune surf charizad, and blizzard venosaur
note: team is over kill, ho oh is plan b if someting goes wrong (bad luck).

Sudowoodo (For Snorlax and Charizard)
A recently catched Ho-oh (For Venusaur)
Lanturn (For Charizard and Blastoise)
Houndoom (For Venusaur and Espeon)
A Miltank
A Hitmontop (the only fighting type from Johto)

lv50 typhlosion (flamethrower, thunder punch, hidden power, fire blast) nevermeltice (got lucky with hp, killed venusaur)
lv50 ursaring (return, earthquake, ice punch, dynamic punch) quick claw (didnt even got used vs red)
lv50 espeon (psychic, bite, zap cannon, flash) focus-band (got two bites into reds espeon before switching to ttar)
lv50 skarmory (drill peck, steel wing, mud slap, toxin) leftovers (drill peck via male lv37 kenya, mudslaped snorlax)
lv50 suicune (surf, aurora beam, dig, protect) leftovers (this was my favorite set, blastoise lost all its pp, took its time)
lv56 tyranitar (rock slide, crunch, earthquake, fire blast) kings rock (killed pikachu espeon snorlax and charizard)
since all of them got decent dvs, this worked first try, even this low-leveled

Honestly a Tyranitar at level 61+ that knows just Earthquake, Rock Slide, Crunch and Screech (all from level-ups) punches SERIOUS holes into Red's team. Just pick some mons that cover Venusaur and Blastoise and you won't have too much trouble.

I really could not be bothered to grind any new mons so completed with 65 Piloswine, 63 Skarmory, 65 Umbreon, 65 Typhlosion, 62 Quagsire, 62 Lanturn.

Leveled up my team around 61 and took me 3 tries to defeat this trainer
- Houndoom
- Granbull
- Raikou
- Entei
- Quagsire
- Piloswine

Starting up with quagsire, mainly because of Pikachu and 1HKO him with earthquake.

After that he switch to Venusaur or Espeon. Switched to Houndoom/Entei for flamethrower and Crunch.

Fighting Blastoise I used Raikou, pretty easy.

Snorlax was an tough one, but used Quagsire with Earthquake and finishing it off with one of the legend doggos.

Charizard was easy, just quagsire with surf or Granbull with thunder punch.

It was really an fun challenge :D

Lvl 63 Typholsion (FlameThrower, Swift, Smokescreen, Leer) Item: Charcoal
Lvl 63 Lanturn (Surf, Thunder Bolt, Thunder Wave, Waterfall) Item: Mystic Water
Lvl 63 Crobat (Wing Attack, Fly, Confuse Ray, Bite) Item: Quick Claw
Lvl 63 Xatu (Future Sight, Psychic, Night Shade, Confuse Ray) Item: Nothing
Lvl 28 Ledian (Flash)

Ursaring is slower than Pikachu but will 1 shot w/ Earthquake. Used Slash on Espeon (reset if not crit), 2 Slashes on Snorlax (Must reset if none crit). Let faint to Venausar (Used Sunny Day to get 1 turn Solarbeams). Sent out Typholsion for a Charcoal + Sunny Day boosted Flamethrower. Let faint to Blastoise (Sets up Rain Dance). Sent Out Lanturn to 2 shot Blastoise w/ Thunder Bolt. Then a Mystic Water + Rain Dance Surf to 1 shot Charizard.
