It didn't work for me. All were under 25. All were Johto Pokemon. Unless Elekid... despite not being in Gen 1, is considered a Kanto. Which is annoying. I saved, thinking it unlocked... but it was the othwr cheevo... Now I have to do a fresh run just for this one.... sigh....

Did not work for me like in Arena 1... My highest mon is 24, Set mode is active, do not own any gen1 mon

The Sudowoodo is great for this. Get him to 25 and Rock Throw should take care of Gengar in 2-3 hits. It also has some resistance to Gengar's Hypnosis

This trophy is bugged as hell, is there a way to get it fixed somehow?

Ok I found the fix for it, don't use Gambatte core, use mGBA and the trophy will pop

Just used a Quagsire Lv21 with Mud-Slap. Remember, Morty only uses the Gastly family, and they are all poison type.

i kind of went out of my way but mud slap on wooper is great. ground type and dark type moves make this guy a total pushover!

Just did this three times, achievement didn't pop.

SET mode, no items of course

Made sure not to hit level 25 during the fight the second time, still didn't pop. This is a pretty annoying gym at such a low level with just Espeon & Croconaw's Bite to rely on, Gengar has Shadow Ball. I'll keep trying as I'm going straight for the Mastery on this, but still, I can only do this so many times until I just have to turn on a different game. I refuse to save past this achievement.

Update: Worked on the NINTH try, when I finally solo'd the entire thing with a lvl 22 Espeon & didn't switch Pokemon at all. This is super bugged & the first time I've had an issue on this list.

- lv. 24 Granbull
- lv. 22 Sudowoodo
- lv. 22 Quagsire
- lv. 23 Bayleef

Had Granbull up front and take out over half of Ghastly's HP with Bite. Ghastly KO's itself with Curse. Switched to Sudowoodo and Haunter missed using Hypnosis. The Quick Claw activated and Mimicked the move. Haunter then Curses my Mon and Sudowoodo takes it out with Rock Throw. Quick Claw activates again and Hypnosis puts his Gengar asleep. Switched back to Granbull (made sure it was equipped with a Mint Berry as sleep insurance) and before it could wake up, I took out his ace with 3 Bites. His last Haunter was an afterthought and knocked it out by Licking and Biting

I think croconaw isn't flagged as a Johto pokemon for some reason, trying with just croconaw and teddiursa didn't make this achievement pop, but swapping them out for phanpy and crobat made it work.
