Amy....oh Amy....You did not have that great of a transition to the third dimension. Her story is decent with her relationship with the Bird and Gamma and she gets to visit unique areas that none of the other characters go to, but besides that her general gameplay is not fun. She is either the slowest character in the game or the 2nd slowest after Big, for a Sonic game that is a bad thing which results in all of her levels being sluggish and generally boring to play. Your typically expected to figure out that jumping increases your mobility and that's what you should do throughout her campaign.

Her main gimmick with Zero really isn't that interesting in the grand scheme of things because Zero is a nuisance at best and rarely do you struggle running away against him because his attacks are easily avoided.

This is also the point where these exposition flashbacks with Tikal start getting irritating and unnecessary. Amy gets a flashback out of nowhere in a situation that has nothing to do the main story. Besides the Chaos Emerald, Amy has no involvement with Chaos whatsoever.

aside from the fact amy's slow as hell, her story was still good, also she gets character development which is nice

ok but birdie plummeting as the music suddenly cuts out made me literally laugh out loud. what a game.
