I've never finished his campaign before, now it's my favorite and I love him

I'll have to agree with SomeCallMeJohnny; Big has no reason to be in this game whatsoever. He's the comic relief and watching his story is pretty amusing to watch, but objectively he's out of place. His story is almost entirely self-contained and would've worked better if his story was a side game instead of a new character with a unique story.

On paper, Big sounds ok to play as which is true when you only aim to beat the story and not get the emblems because getting Froggy is relatively easy. But its when you're trying to get the emblems that the issues start popping up. The bigger fish even with the upgrades are extremely difficult to catch without you using some exploits to get them easier. Sometimes you have no control on when you can reel the fish in and the game lets the fish swim farther from you which is very annoying to deal with and then there's the issue of fish just vanishing from your lure if you don't fish on a hard platform.

Like Amy, Big also gets a flashback exposition and it makes even less sense why he gets one here. All he wants is to get Froggy back, he has no interest in dealing with the Chaos threat. The way the story handles details is sloppy at best.
