So I did a test on my file and it does look like it pauses the timer in the map screen.

@guddentehpwner yes it does, if you press start+select to bring up quick menu it will pause without timer reset 👍

I thought that I'd never get that since I take my time in metroidvania games. Heck, even had 20 minutes to spare escaping in 2:40.

Got it on my first run together with the 3 etanks only achievement. If you've played the game before it watch map randos, you know where most if not all items are, so get what is needed and get going.

My 100% run taking my time to clear each area as I went! ended with 3:37

I thought I‘d have to do both 100% and under 3 hours on a single file.
Thankfully, that‘s not the case!
So I‘m just gonna take my time with my 100% run and then do the 3 E-Tank Run in under 3 hours

Very easy. Was able to combine it with the 3 e-tanks achievement AND did Ridley before Draygon (meaning I had a very strange route) and still had around an hour to spare.
