This didn't pop for me the first time. I think it was because I had to make multiple attempts before successfully defeating the boss without getting hit, and each time I got hit I simply reset the ROM. So when I defeated the boss without taking a hit and the achievement didn't pop, I tried totally closing the ROM and restarting it each time I took a hit. On my next successful attempt, the achievement popped.

After the Necromancer, this is a walk in the park.

Def way easier than necromancer. Just make sure not to get greedy, as the end lag of the dark whip makes you vulnerable.
