At the very end of the stage, jump onto the exit hill, and jump off of Rambi. You should land on a tire offscreen. Bounce off the tire, and you will enter a barrel cannon, which will shoot you into two blue balloons (http://www.dkc-atlas.com/maps/dkc/1-1).

this doesn't trigger if you have 99 lives when you pick them up. Not sure if it only triggers on the life count ticking up or what but you're best off just doing this on a fresh run (I tried it right after doing the life gaining bounces achievement)

I actually got it, thank you so much Leislonjose. I wouldn't have known to just jump off of Rambi ON the mountain. I always jumped to the left, thinking the Balloon was on top of the tree or something.

do some balloons stop spawning if you already have 101%?

went off the tire into the cannon and didnt end up getting them. the green one on the trees didnt spawn for me either...

Mysterious extra lives (blue balls) I never knew existed. They're easy to get.
