Tip for this one: you'll want to expose all three of the bosses chest weak spots, then lock onto all of them all at once. This will instantly defeat the boss before he can even do that attack, as he only starts doing that attack when he's down to one weak spot in his chest. So just shoot him with the vulcan cannon until all the weak spots are exposed, then lock onto all of them.
