Okay be sure to don't fight him just after saving in that room or this achievement won't pop up. Just go to the previous room and re-enter where he is, now it should work!!

Also!!! little trick for this achievement is to use DCMC Pamphlet on him so he literally can't attack you on a few turns so get that time to beat his a$$

Yes be sure to follow Ruustation's tip above if it doesn't pop, happened to me but leaving and reentering worked

This would only pop for me if I didn't let Lucas or Kumatora level up after the battle, since their max PP increases the achievement probably considers increasing PP as spending it.

Achievement seems to be bugged no matter what I try.
Tried re-entering the room and I also leveled up Kumatora before the Fight to make sure her PP don‘t increase after the Boss.

Also tried using different Cores on RetroArch and in-Game I even managed to beat the Boss without using any Items or Duster and Boney‘s unique Skills so yeah, I assume this Achievement is just bugged, sadly
