this achievement bugs on me.

i got the moon stone on mount moon on monday for my 73/74

then the only thing im missing is the one after ss anna gets back on olivine - which is a PROTEIN, i get that, but the counter didnt update to 74/74. i would like someone to help me cause its my 3rd playthrough getting this cheevo. thank you.

i really need some help with this.

Something's weird here; I followed a guide to find every item and wound up 1 short. Noticed a few times that the achievement progress didn't update upon picking an item up, either. Might need to request a manual unlock for this, 'cause this is buggin me.

For clarity: SlashTangent pointed out i did in fact miss an item, and i informed them of the items that did not trigger achievement progress, so my previous comment should be disregarded

So the Monday moon stone at Mt Moon is my last item, but the counter drops from 84/85 to 83/85 when the Clefairies leave the breakable rock.
I tried picking it up, but it didn't complete. I reloaded my save and tried again and the item collection always drops by 1.
Is there a remedy for this or did I hunt down 85 items for nothing? 😭

This was incorrectly labeled as missable. Unless there has been a discovery I'm not aware of this is not missable. The moonstone respawning dropping your count by 1 is intentional just due to how the game handles that. With the moonstone if you're at 84/85 you're missing an item somewhere.

I've stated before that there doesn't seem to be a single guide that has all the items. You might need to cross-reference a few.

It does affect the total, but it respawns weekly. When it does respawn it will knock your total down by 1 until you re-collect the newly spawned moonstone.

I noticed that the counter didn’t go up when I got the hidden Nugget where Entei, Raikou, and Suicune were. Is this a glitch in emulation, or is that particular item not counted?

Okay I FINALLY got it! I used this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1HyKdBS4WA
But I was missing two. One was when you take the S.S. Aqua back to Olivine City from Vermilion City (you might need to change the time). The other was in Cerulean City, where the cave for Mewtwo was in Gen 1, not on the Mt. Moon side.

The counter doesn't go up when I grab the Max Ether on the southwest Whril Island (technically Route 41).

@LucienGreeth looks like the developer didn't know about this specific item, I filed a ticket because I was 84/85 with only that nugget missing and getting it didn't rise the counter (I was missing another item the dev did include in the cheevo), the nugget should be added to the total I think?

So far the counter hasn’t gone up when I’ve collected the nugget in the Burned Tower, and the max ether just outside the southwest Whirl Island.
