Unless I missed something you just have to deal a ton of damage to Wisdurm quickly. I wasn't anywhere close to what was required DPS-wise so I went to grind from 17->22. I also put on the Daredevil Boots on Mario just in case.

This made the fight a little too easy, I actually was able to end the fight before Wisdurm became big for the first time. So if you're having trouble, just go grind for a few minutes. To respawn enemies, move Bowser off the machine and jump back in the yellow pipe to Toad Town with M/L. Good luck!

I did this with Mario at level 19 and Luigi at level 18, both equipped with 10% extra power gear, and Mario with special power boosting gear also. I used the badge that doubles special power once.

It's indeed a DPS check. The bar moves a tick for every hit so avoid multi-hit moves unless it's the last hit before Wisdrum becoming big.

I used the trampoline hat for every hit except that multi-hit chance, where I used the barrels with the badge boost. Made several mistakes and still got the achievement so there is a lot of wiggle room.

Managed it with both Bros. at level 18 by spamming Trampoline Jump. Achievement still triggers if Wisdurm dies on the same turn as turning small again.

I missed it the first time, but just closed my game immediately. Went and bought the power badge paired with excellent. Easily done 2nd try.
