Can't seem to get this to pop. Does it have to be done after a certain point in the story?

Anytime after the first time you do the minigame. It should give you a final time and a reward the first time you get under 12 seconds.

Yeah, tried that. Are there any special map ID triggers?I have a save in Nimbus. Moved to Lands End. Run back a map and then back to the cliff to start the game. Get under 12 seconds and earn the Troopa Pin, and still no pop.

Are you using bsnes by any chance? For whatever reason it doesn't play nice with this game.

Nope, but I am using a pi. Tried regular Snes9x, 2005, and 2010. Ill probably move my save over to PC and try it there just to see.

Tried multiple emulators and no go. Messed around in RASnes9x and I can see its due to 0x23043. This never changes to a value of 80 for me. Is there something specific that needs to be done to get this to change?

I just got it. I just kept doing different combinations of exciting to the world map, going to different places, and then trying it. It eventually triggered.

Oh man you were right, 0x23043 bits are for each turtle so you had to finish a specific (yet common) way to trigger it. I've made it now depend on just talking to the turtle at the end which should be more consistent. Thanks for bringing that up
