    this achievement won't work for me... on 3 separate occassions I've cut him in half and the achievement has not popped.

    You need to do it on the FIRST time that you go on the stage. If you go there for the Heart Piece and the S-Tank, it won't count afterwards

    Seems like you can't die during the stage or during your very first attempt at killing him. I did slice him up but the achievement didn't pop for me.

    Since this achiev don't trigger for no apparent reason sometimes, I rewrited the code, with stable conditions.
