When does the timer start? Is it at the very bottom of the ship (when your cell door opens), or is it at the very top where the crane is?

Thanks, that's what I thought! If a player fails to escape and starts the escape sequence again (without reloading save), the cheevo can still be unlocked, right? In other words, the timer starts over?

Yes, you're able to retry as many times as it takes.

After messing around with this one some more I figured out that you pretty much have to use the overclock option for beetle if you play it in beetle. You can be as fast as possible but without overclock you'll be to slow on the outside crane part.

There is some shortcut to get this? when does the achievement appears on screen? I've been doing perfect runs and wait until the cave part and don't get the achiev

This was daunting at first but after some practice was able to knock it out after 6 or 7 tries. Gotta lean on that dash button and go right-angle YOLO on the crane. I believe it popped when the next scene faded in.

I found that learning to do this entire sequence without changing the camera helped a lot!

I thought it was hard. On my first few tries, I am critizing the one who made this (on my mind). But hey, I got it! I even wasted few seconds on 1st and 2nd floor. You just got to make sure not to fall on the 3rd floor while dashing.

This took me a while.There is a ladder at the of the the right corridor of the starting position that makes you take a shortcut to Floor 3. I made two save states to practice both the running through and jumping over the forced battle on Floor 3, and the crane section.Quite honestly, I realize I'm just a slow learner and this took me way more time than it should have, but it shouldnt be that difficult if you can master both savestates before doing it hardcore for real

Kudos to Probored for showing the right way to approach this. Took about an hour to get. A couple notes: you don't need to skip the Floor 3 fight as time pauses for fights. Just hold up as the fight fades out to get a head start to the ladder.
Jump across crane bridges because the game won't make you fall if you're in the air at a spot where you would fall off on foot.
Also, if you leave the camera alone you can press and jump down on the second crane bridge(left on third crane bridge) to save distance and time. If you're close to the edge on very last part, jump to the end to avoid falling.
Achievement triggers with transition, right after Fei talks to Weltall.

Video of me doing it first time. Jumping is the way to go, watch your shadow and its where you'll fall. I feel like this achievement is very tightly tuned because I'd been doing near perfect runs all morning to no avail.
