Não sobe usei dunespace Ratata e nada até mesmo um pinde
However, I wasn't able to test out if being hit by a super effective attack voided the achievement, as my grass-type pokémon fainted before I reached Falkner's Pidgeotto, which has the Gust flying-type move.
(I also used a lvl 8 Bellsprout, a lvl 7 Sentret and a lvl 8 Unown just to spread some xp around lol. Never attacked with them.)
Consider an FPS game where the challenge rule is to never shoot enemies in the head. It would be about as intuitive and additive as these achievements are. No offense to the set dev, just my take.
1. Typically the level cap for your Pokemon matches that of the gym leader's highest level Pokemon, but not always. Always check the level caps before you head out to the next gym. For instance, the level cap on Pryce is one level lower than the level cap on Jasmine.
2. Don't forget to bring your Red Scale from Lake of Rage to Mr. Pokemon. He'll trade it for the EXP Share, which you can use to help keep you from overleveling your favorite Pokemon.
3. Don't stress out too much about the level cap if you're just starting this set. HGSS has VERY low-leveled random encounters. In general it won't be difficult to keep Pokemon at/around the level cap as you progress.
4. Keep a larger team rotation than you would for other games. I kept a rotating party of about 8 Pokemon, not counting my HM users or Pokemon that I am leveling up for my Pokedex.
5. Let's be clear about "Super Effective" here. There is a LOT of misinformation on this going around. This ONLY applies to moves where you would see "it was super effective!" during the battle. It DOES NOT apply to: Pokemon Typing (using an electric POKEMON against a water POKEMON is fine. Using an electric MOVE against a water Pokemon is NOT); moves like Confuse Ray, Poison Powder, Leech Seed and Thunder Wave (these moves CANNOT be super effective, they are considered non-damaging, therefore they are SAFE); moves like Kinesis or Metal Sound (again, stat lowering moves CANNOT BE SUPER EFFECTIVE); nor does it apply to THEIR Pokemon using a super effective move against you.
6. One more time. The rule only applies to DAMAGING MOVES performed by YOUR OWN POKEMON that can result in the dialog declaring them SUPER EFFECTIVE in battle.
8. If you are using RetroArch or another compatible emulator, you should have the ability to see "Challenge Indicators". These appear in the bottom right corner of the screen as an image of the achievement you are attempting. For example, the Challenge Indicator for this achievement would appear as the above image of Falkner. Challenge Indicators only pop up if you are meeting the conditions of the challenge. They go away when you have failed it. WHEN YOU START A GYM LEADER BATTLE, YOU SHOULD SEE THE CHALLENGE INDICATOR. If you are on a compatible emulator and you do NOT see the Challenge Indicator as you enter the battle, reset and try again. Check your settings in-game to make sure you have Set Mode activated. Check your party's levels.
9. If you hit the Gym Leader's Pokemon with a Super Effective move or an overleveled Pokemon, the Challenge Indicator will disappear. This is because you have failed the challenge. If you beat the Gym Leader and the Challenge Indicator is still active, you should get your achievement. I promise it is that straightforward.
I really do think that the thing messing most people up is not double-checking that they activated Set Mode before they start the fight. You don't have to keep it on for any other fights, even the Rival ones. Just the Gym Leaders and the Elite 4.
I hope this helps!
