NOTE: The achievement will not be voided if you get incased in crystal, because you will not be damaged from it. Just be cared not to get hit by any other attacks when in or out of the crystal.

Did this in the boss rush. Not sure if that affects boss patterns, but you should do these there anyway, since you'll have quick access to everyone, and won't have to go through an entire stage to reach a given boss.

Attacks:

Slime Time - Crystal Snail sends out a volley of icy goo. This doesn't hurt you, but it does freeze you solid, which is extremely inconvenient. As long as he isn't in the middle of the arena, you can dodge simply by being in the upper corner. If you do get frozen, mash jump, dash, and the D-Pad, and you might be able to break free in time to escape getting hit.

Turbo Shell - Crystal Snail goes into his shell, flies upward, then starts to spin. Eventually, he'll rocket off in a direction, which may or may not be towards X. Keep your distance and jump over / dash under as needed. Alternatively, try to lure him to an upper corner, then drop down as he comes toward you, though this is riskier.

Temporal Fall - Starts the same as Turbo Shell, but instead of launching in a direction, Crystal Snail instead comes out of his shell in mid-air. A bolt of electricity will arc between his antennae, and then time will slow down, making dodging harder. He'll only use this attack when his health is getting low.

Notes:

- Watch the timing and positions of Slime Time's goo balls. Often, you can hit him between volleys.
