Im on 93%. Already catched Mewtwo without Masterball but he doesnt count. Thought it would. But Im sure i caught every Pokemon in the cave. Does it matter, WHERE I caught them?(Floor1/2/basement)
Also, my first Ditto transformed and I didnt know it wont count. So i caught a 2nd one without transform. Still 93%.

Does anyone have any tips for this one? I caught everything and it didn't register. It's nearly impossible to get Ditto without it transforming, only strat is Spore Parasect. Will give it another shot.

Edit: as far as I can tell Wigglytuff can only be find in the upper lvl
To add to what @DryIce53 already explained. You can find most of em in both lvls, only 2-3 of em can only be find in one of the lvls. for example I didnt see any Raichu in the upper lvl, and found no Wigglytuff in lower lvl

Just caught all these and it didn't trigger, even confirmed them all in the box :( guess I need to try again and hope it works this time.

Oh god I missed the "without leaving the area" part... I wasted my time catching everything, going back to the Pokemon Center in between. Don't make the same mistake as me!
Electrode is such a pain too, you have to outspeed him and put him to sleep, or hope he doesn't use Selfdestruct or Explosion on the first turn.

I want to reiterate and confirm that you do not need to stop the ditto from transforming, it still pops. I don't know why that would be a problem in the first place tbh

There are 15 total, and I bolded the highest encounter rate for each one.
You don't need to catch any from fishing, and there are none from surfing. You also don't need to catch Mewtwo for this achievement.

Thanks tomojin for the list! For those playing Blue version like me, instead of an Arbok encounter, you'll be looking for a Sandslash instead.

That's a very solid resource list Tomojin! Can confirm that Mewtwo and fishing aren't necessary. Also, it doesn't matter if Ditto transforms or not.

To make catching less stressful, here's what I did:

1. Fill up on Ultra Balls. A full stack should be plenty.
2. Make sure your PC box has plenty of space. "No more room!" sucks.
3. Bring a Pokemon with a sleep effect move.
4. Put target Pokemon to sleep.
5. Start throwing Ultra Balls immediately. Don't worry about attacking.

I was able to catch everything pretty quickly, even Mewtwo (since I was already there).

Electrode's Selfdestruct and Explosion were a total nightmare. I almost ran out of Revives. Then I decided to simply throw Ultra Balls instead of trying to put it to sleep. All the rest was easy, following cykette's tips! It took me 45 minutes. Totally agree with the previous commenter, Electrode was the only issue and he almost forced me to start over at 14/15 because I ran out of revives, managed to catch him with hypnosis on the next try. Make sure you bring plenty of ultra balls (I used 46 of the 99 I brought personally) and plenty of revive/full restore since every electrode encounter is going to end in an explosion and you aren't allowed to leave to restock.

Don't use Ultra Balls, Great Balls have a higher catch rate in Gen 1 for weird programming oversight reasons.

For some Odd reasons, I always catched pokemons with Pokeball and never got issues (after putting on Sleep of course)

If you're having trouble finding Dittos, stock up on Max Repels before you go into the cave, put a Lvl 60 Pokemon in your front slot, go to the second floor, use a Repel and walk around until you find it. Also like everyone else says, I can confirm that a transformed Ditto still counts towards the achievement, so don't waste your time running just because it transformed like I did.
