i dont know if its a bug but this one u just need to "reach" the stage with rank S, when i tried to beat it on normal after credits i got rank A in this stage (i received too much damage) and still got this one

I've seen other commenters say this works on Ultimate Mode - if so, it would be trivial to do it on an Ultimate Mode save file. The extra defense being given without a point penalty is enough in itself to make this way easier, but you don't have to worry about spikes, either - and you can use charged attacks with Street Fighter-esque combinations. If you're just trying to complete the set and don't care about challenge, I'd go that route.

For me - this was part of why I wanted to do this set so I did it on my first Normal run. The main tip I'd offer is your rank is based on your average, not your end of stage total. If there's a mission where you can get 98-100 points, or you're willing to practice until you can, restart until you nail it so you don't have to redo a stage you finish at 92 points.

And don't worry about the last stage - as long as you enter it with an S rank, you're good.

Any sane person would simply not care about challenge. Just complete the set and thats it.

Just clarifying for whoever comes across the comments in the future: Comments from a while back talk about how all you need to do is enter the final stage with an S rank, and the actual rank you get at the end of the stage doesn't matter. This is no longer the case as of December 2024, the achievement has been fixed and requires an S rank at the end of the final stage.

just got it. you still don't need S rank for the last mission. don't know if it's a bug or not but i got 85 points and A rank
