I was reading a lot of bios issues so I tried 5501 from two sources and one of the other random bios numbers. All alone either in the Bios folder I created or alone in the system folder. I have only tried the ff7 rom but like I said the checksum is right. I also made sure RA is pointing to the correct folder for bios via the file manager in settings. Not sure what to try next.

You are using v2 of 1.7.9, right?

Big brain BrandonG777 pointed me in the right direction . I had apparently downloaded 1.7.7 and doing the asset updates did not do the trick. I just downloaded 1.7.9 and cheevos are there. Thanks to all for the help. Been looking forward to the PS gen for a long time.

Can someone help me? when I try to start a game on RALibretro this message appears ''your system doesn't appear to be able to run this core at desired speed. Consider changing some of the settings for the core. Game has been paused.'' I tried to change the settings but the lag continues, in the emulator epsxe works normally

Buy a new pc or gpu
Running smoothly on epsxe doesn't have anything to do with running smoothly using libretro cores

Have you tried just unpausing the emulation from the toolbar menu? I always get that message on some games, specially when playing FMVs, but after unpausing, the video continues kinda choppy but stable and ingame looks fine most of the time. You may want to close any unnecessary applications running in background too.

Hi all - thanks for your work so far. I decided to give it a try with Resident Evil Director's Cut.

I get the PS startup screen but the video and audio are very slow and choppy, and it looks like this:

After the the "PS" screen its still slow/choppy and looks like this:

I've tried some settings changes as mentioned here but nothing else has worked. Any suggestions?

I'm running on:
Win 10 64bit
AMD Ryzen 5 2600
16GB RAM
Radeon RX 580

Thanks again.

@, Looks like you have 'Display full VRAM' on from core options, turning it off should fix the graphical issue. For low frame rate, try the things listed in this thread: https://retroachievements.org/viewtopic.php?t=9504

hi all, could someone tell me when i win a PSX achievement on my switch it doesnt activate but when i play the same game on my pc (Exactly the same rom) it shows up

Checking in again from that other thread - game seems to work fine in windowed mode but I still can't load/get any achievements.

So I tried Retroarch loading a SNES9x core, and loading Top Gear 2. This same Top Gear 2 file does show up properly in RASnes9x - connects to retroachievements fine there. But in Retroarch it won't connect. So in both the SNES9x core and the PS Beetle core with a game loaded, In the Quick Menu under Achievements it still says "No Achievements To Display."
