This looks like a wonderful set. I'll probably start working on it within the next week or so.

Hi there. I'm enjoying the set so far. I'm up against Onox now and I came up with a strategy to beat. I got the achievement in Softcore and I already beat him twice in Hardcore but the achievement didn't pop there. Am I missing something? I just move up inside the castle and fight him. Everytime I die I reset the emulator to have another shot at the achievement (Save File still at 0 deaths), but it just won't pop. Would be nice to know if there are any issues with the achievement itself or if I'm doing something wrong.

That's very strange for it to work in casual but not hardcore, did you remember to switch it back?
Assuming that's not the case could you pm me your save file along with the emulator (and what version of that emulator) you're using?

Will this support the USA version in the future?

Not "officially" but I've had no problem starting a file on the US version, changing the name of the save file to match the European rom and then changing it back again so you can still do that with your old save files.

I tried applying these patches to the ROMs I used for the base games (US versions), and Floating IPS is telling me "This patch is not meant for this ROM" or something like that... Is it registering that the patch is for a EU ROM, or is something screwy going on?

The patch IS for the EU No Intro rom.
But according to
All the info you need is in the first post of this thread.

"But according to BenGhazi, you should be able to simply rename a US rom and it'll still work. "
To clarify on that, I meant that you could rename your save file and continue where you left off, I've never tried renaming and patching the rom itself and I wouldn't expect that to work to begin with.

Well that's a shame... especially considering Nintendo's recent crackdown on ROMs... finding a US one these days is tricky enough, but EU? Doesn't look like that's happening...

I was nodding off and seeing double by the time I hit submit earlier. My mistake.
