Is it not possible to insert another version compatible with the achievements?

maybe the one in the PAL-ITA version?

The problem with a different language, it's not guaranteed it works.

It would need a lot of testing on my side, but I can't do that right now.

unfortunately I tried and the game is not recognized by the emulator

pity, I hope the PAL-ITA version will be integrated in the future

What is the correct ROM and emulator??

You want the US disc for the game and Ralibretro with the Beetle PSX core for the emulator.

Not working with Redump USA (not linked).

Scratch that, there seems to be a problem where some games do not get recognised if they're started using an .m3u file.

Question: A while back I compressed all my PS1 games into PBP files. If I decompress my Medievil PBP back into a bin/cue, the achievements should work, right?

I don't know, I have not tried.

Okay, so it seems @LordArchantos got the Redump USA version to work. I've acquired that one now, but if I check it against the MD5 hash listed on the site, I'm not getting a match.

Which file is creating that hash? I have 3 files here. "MediEvil (USA) (Track 1).bin", "MediEvil (USA) (Track 2).bin", and "MediEvil (USA).cue", and none of them match "270c740d1c4192423152df2376cf7ced". I also tried the compressed 7z file for the heck of it, and that doesn't match either.

A more simple way to put it: What is the name of your game file, @Totaya? ^^;

@ I believe the linked hashes shown for PSX games are the hashes that are actually used to link the content. In this case the image file's hash is not used, but instead it comes from some of the disc's content. So as long as your files' hashes match Redump USA, it should work.

Also the problem with some games not being recognised when using .m3u files should be fixed in the next or following nightly.

, the file name doesn't matter.

If you use RetroArch, be sure to use the last version. Because in some earlier versions it used a different hash method and so it can't work now.

Ahhh, right! I had 1.7.7 and I needed to install the newer version, 1.7.8.

Once I had that, loading the cue file worked for me. I didn't try the bin though.

For anyone curious, I tried compressing the bin and cue into a PBP, but it wouldn't load the achievements. :(

Still, psyched I got it to work! Thanks and for the help!

The old icon was outvoted and replaced, here's a backup of it:

Hi Totaya! Loving the Medievil sets so far! I noticed a typo in the description for "To Spear or Not to Spear"
