To properly link your ROM to the list you need to:
1. Download patch
2. Download Floating IPS software
3. Apply the patch on a ROM file, which meets specifications:
Castlevania (USA) (Rev A).nes
Castlevania (U) (PRG1) [!].nes
Castlevania Rev PRG1 (1987-05)(Konami)(US).nes
RA Checksum: 728e05f245ab8b7fe61083f6919dc485
ROM Checksum: 52eb3f7e2c5fc765aa71f21c85f0770e
CRC32 Checksum: 856114C8
You can check the the CRC32 checksum by dropping your ROM file here
4. In result you should recieve a file with the following checksum:
CRC32: 720aabee

This is going to be a rough one.

The set is up.

The link to the Patch is broken. You have an "A" at the end of the link that shouldn't be there. It works when you remove that last A.

Don't know how this "A" got there... thanks for pointing it out.

After few replays I have to ask. Are you sure (like 100% sure) that can be achieved with present conditions (BEFORE reaching stage 28)? What counts as treasure? Secret items and 1ups that appear when you stand/crouch in certain locations? I already doubted my own memory and googled it but there are only 14 just as I remember and the 15th is hidden right before the end of stage 28. Is there really a secret that eluded each and every guide for years (maybe obtained through a glitch or something like this) or should the condition be "before reaching the end of stage 28"?

For Ace of Hearts, don't you have to actually whip a candle with the vampire killer to get the subweapon and the hearts? Or is just hitting enemies not allowed?

Oh ok for stage 1 the area outside the castle is a 'grace screen' for Ace of Hearts. Every stage after you can come off the previous stage holding a sub weapon. But you have to swing the whip in stage one to get that first sub weapon.

I also recommend the cross for stage 3 if you have the chance to hold on to either the holy water or the cross after killing Medusa in stage 2 and you want to subweapon only stage 3.

Sorry guys for responding so late, but recently I have less of free time to take care of anything here (being forest ranger, nature reserve conservator and woodland engineer, along as regular parent of 2 girls, and a housewife... the day lasts only 24 hours and I need to sleep too).

@Arekdias Obviously there should be "before finishing Stage 28", but the issue here was only with the description. The achievement will unlock when you reveal 15 treasusures on Stages 19-28 (by this I mean items that are raising from the floor - sacks, chests, crowns, moai heads and 1ups)

@Hippo Yeah it's exactly like you are saying. The courtyard at the entrance to the castle is safe zone where you can use Vampire Killer to obtain first sub weapon, but that's only for the first achievement. By that I mean if you will use VP on Stages 1-3 it won't break any achievement for following stages and so on.

There are 15 treasures in the stages 19-28 ? I didn't think they were so numerous in only the 10 first stages ... Would you have a source showing their location ? Because they are very hard to find, there is no clue to guide the player ...

In this video (I used it to find the treasures of the 1st quest),

There are some treasures in the 2nd quest but much less than 15 ...

1st quest treasures appears in 2nd quest too (and they count). The video you have posted exposed almost all of them.

Treasure achievement worked. Most likely I didn't activate the unreachable treasure last time thinking I already reached stage 28 and failed the requirements. Well, it was a really fun set, though when I first saw it I really expected (and dreaded) to see something like "no death + no subweapons" or no damage for entire game.

This game has very much stiff and lacky controlls, and it's really easy to get hit by accident, that's why all game playtrough without any damage would be just one extreme frustration. I could think more about whole game without dying and using subweapons, but only if you would be allowed to pick them (only not use them). There is a chance for addendum for this set, but I would prefer to wait with it until the toolkit will have more functionality.
