By setting the window resolution in graphics configuration to maximum which your monitor is capable of displaying without being cropped at top and bottom. For me it's 1280 x 960 (native Resolution 1920x1080)
You have to try on your own:
Options - > configure graphics plugin

Retro Achievements Project64 N64 emulator achievements not loading when opening/loading the ROM to open the emulator. The achievements only load when you open the emulator and then open/load a ROM. This is a bigger problem when using front end game library software such as launch box or hyper spin because that is how it loads the game is by opening/loading the ROM to the emulator. I found other reports of people having his issue from over a year ago will there be a fix to this issue sometime soon please?

I Don't have troubles with N64 Achievements from RetroArch + Parallei N64 Core. Mario Kart 64, is one of last titles i have play and make Achievements.
But like Independent Emulator of N64, i think, is better idea, use mupen64plus instead of project64

I dont really use RetroArch I mainly use individual emulators. I know RetroArch uses mupen64 which it does alright but I have had better experience with project 64. There has been some games that mupen64 has had issues emulating.

Vitorzuero - #1: If you've copied RAPJ64 to the Program Files or Program Files (x86) dir, you need to run it as admin. Windows protects this directory. You need to run it as admin when manually installing there. #2: Be sure your JRE (Java runtime), and Microsoft C++ Runtime Redistributables are up to date. #3: Be sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
#3 usually throws a missing d3d dll error, (its always good to do a clean driver install if you feel like your graphics drivers may be corrupt) so it lets you know, but in #1 and #2's case, you'll receive this response when trying to run it.

Upon logging in to Retroachievements inside the emulator, I get a message that says "Project64 has stopped working", which forces me to close the application. This effectively makes it impossible for me to get achievements from Nintendo 64 games, right?

The filesize for your avatar is too large. Reduce it to below 32kb and try again.

It's 14kb, so that's not the issue; although, I'm not sure how that would be related to the emulator crashing in the first place.

Mine was crashing also doing the same thing since the last update though has been working. You might try making sure you have the latest version and if you do then completely uninstall the program and make sure all the files are removed then do a fresh install on the latest version as that fixed it for me.

I downloaded version 0.056 in the first post, and this is the first N64 emulator that I've downloaded for Retroachievements; however, I've been using the Super Nintendo and Gameboy emulators for a couple of months with no issues.

I had to scale the avatar down to 64x64, which unfortunately is quite blurry, but the emulator's finally working. I still do not understand the connection, but thanks for all of your help. Also, Merry Christmas!
